This article deals with the study of temple fair and folk sports from the historical and cultural perspectives. The author first analyzes the obstacles in the development of folk sports by tracing the ori- gins. Then the author discusses the advantages of folk temple fairs, which will play a role in the inherit- ance and protection of folk sports culture. Finally, the author gives some suggestions on how to protect and inherit the temple fair and folk sports.
