The end of the 19th century and early 20th century,in order to adapt to American society from the agricultural age to industrial age,and from the modern to the modern great change,the United States launched a large-scale,far-reaching education campaign,known as the Progressive Education Movement.The Progressivism educational philosophy of John Dewey is represented for the change which is from dead tradition of classical education to the education in which children in the center position.This significant change in the United States determines American education direction of development in the 20th century.The measures of this education reform principles and a large number of brave educational experiments have great impact on the development of education in the United States and the world.
