摘要
《孟子》“知言养气章”在东亚儒学发展史上居于重要和特殊的地位。千百年以来,对于此章的注解争议最大。我们在读《孟子》的时候,必须面对和重新理解、诠释“知言养气章”。在中国哲学史或心学史上.孟子的不动心之道与告子的不动心之道分别代表了两种不同的工夫论的道路和方向.显示出他们在哲学思想上的异趣,具有不同的重要意义。但是,孟子的不动心之道不仅不同于告子的不动心之道.并且超越了告子的不动心之道;孟子为自己的不动心之道,从理论上、价值伦理上和工夫践形的实践上奠定了一个儒家的心性学的坚实基础。
The chapter on "zhiyan yangqi (understanding words and cultivating spirit)" in MENGzi, a seminal text for East Asian Confucian School, has played a peculiar role in the School's development. Scholars have debated for centuries over the exegetic issues about this text. In reading MENGzi, we must take seriously the hermeneutic problems posed by this text. In the history of Chinese philosophy, the different teachings on the way of budongxin (resoluteness) by MENGzi and GAOzi reflect their different philosophical interests in the theory of moral training and practice which points to two different directions. However, one must not loose sight of the fact that MENGzi's teachings on budongxin not only differs from those by GAOzi, MENGzi laid solid a foundation for the Confucian theory of the nature of heart-mind in the fields of axiology and theory of moral training and practice.
