摘要
概述美国高校多元文化教育兴起的背景、教学主张、教学形式及内容等 ,认为这种教育尊重少数民族学生的传统文化价值取向 ,注重培养学生的批判性思维 ,在消除种族歧视。
This paper provides a general survey of the historical background for multicultural education, its theoretical claims and its current developments in American tertiary educational institutions. Such education values minority traditions and encourages critical thinking skills. It has made some headway in eliminating racial prejudice and promoting understanding among different ethnic groups.
