试论信达雅论的误区

Where Yan Fu and his Followers Have Failed Theoretically

文章结合近百年我国的翻译研究资料 ,简述严复的信达雅论缘何在中国译界影响深远 ;剖析其本论中客观存在的弊病 ,包括“信”的定义空缺 ,“雅”的复古倾向 ,“信”与“达”和“信”与“雅”的矛盾 ,并评价其整体理论价值 ;进而分析信达雅研究论在支持论证上出现的非科学性操作及其危害性 ,包括偷换概念与自相矛盾的论证过程 ,牵强附会与“罢黜百家”的论证手段 ,盲目夸大的结论和对时代背景异同的忽略 ;最后 。

In the light of Chinese translation research materials of the century, this thesis briefly reviews how and why Yan Fus theory has prevailed in the field of Chinese translation studies for about one hundred years , and then analyses the insufficient definition, ancientry-oriented drawback, and self-contradictions of Yan Fus theory proper. Its further pointed out in the thesis that Yan Fus theorys followers have made a series of blunders on their grounds of argument,including the playing of tricks with concepts, self -contradiction, far-fetched comparison, proscription of other schools, exaggerated conclusion and negligence of background differences.Finally,this paper gives a brief introduction to the research of translation principles home and abroad.
