On Qiu Jun’s Idea of Making the People Prosper

丘浚是中国 15世纪的思想家。他的富民思想包括民本爱民、求利富民、先理民财 ,实现的主要途径有配丁田法、爱民节用、轻税薄赋、民自为市、发展私营经济等。他的思想来源于对儒家思想的继承、当时社会现状的剖析以及个人生活环境的影响 ,是当时社会发展趋势的代表 。

Qiu Jun, a 15~ th -century Chinese thinker,advocated the idea of making the people prosper with emphasis on love for the people as the foundation of the nation,acquisition of wealth for the prosperity of the people,and priority to private financial management amoung the people.The major measures he sugested for the realization of his ideas included a labor-quota-related method of land distribution,spending control, moderate taxation,promotion of market fairs and development of private economy.Qiu Jun inherited the Confucian ideological system.His idea was based on his analysis of the social reality in his time and formulated under the influence of his personal living environment.Representative of the trend of social development at the time, Qiu Juns thought is of great significance in the history of economic thinking in China.
