南宋巴蜀散文作家林立 ,著述颇丰 ,体裁上以奏疏政论为主体 ,内容上以忧国忧民、救亡图存为旨归 ,文风通俗质朴 ,犀利简明 ,沉郁悲愤。字里行间 ,忧心如焚 ,忠心可鉴 ,全面展现了四川乃至全国军民抗击强虏的英雄史、腐败朝廷苟且偷安的衰亡史 ,体现了中国知识分子及广大军民的民族魂。

During the South Song Dynasty, there were many prose writers and they wrote a great deal of prose. The style of their writings was mainly characteristic of memorials to the throne and political comments; the content showed the writers' worries about the country and its people as well as their ideas of saving the nation from subjugation and ensuring its survival. Their writings were simple and common, concise and sharp. They were filled with grief and indignation. Between the lines were well presented the history of Sichuan as well as the whole nation in the fight against aggression and the rise and fall of the corrupt imperial government, and the patriotism and pain of being a conquered people of the Chinese intellectuals, the Chinese people and servicemen
