Resources Consumption and Economic Growth:A Dynamic Panel Data Approach

资源消耗与经济增长有着密不可分的关系。本文选取1985-2008年的数据,利用国际上研究资源消耗与经济增长之间关系的重要工具--面板协整分析、误差修正模型及面板格兰杰因果检验对中国省级层面资源消耗与经济增长之间的动态关系进行了研究。研究结果表明:资源消耗与经济增长之间存在长期双向因果关系。据此,提出了一些科学合理的经济发展和资源产业政策。

There is close relationship between resources consumption and economic growth. This paper applied the panel cointe- gration, error correction models and granger causal relation test which are important methods in international to investigate co-movement and the causal relationships between resources consumption and real per capita GDP for China＇ s 30 provinces during 1985-2008. Empirical results show that there is long-run bidirectional causality between per capita resource consump- tion and real per capita GDP. Accordingly, we give some scientific and rational policies for economic development and resourc- es industry.
