中古禅母类变管测

On the Categorical Change of “Chanmu” in M iddle Chinese

以“类同变化同”的语音通则解释禅母从中古到现代的演变、分化，总结禅母类变规律；以“古无今有难”语音发展事实为根据，提出中古禅、船同类，禅母在中古应是浊塞擦音的意见，为禅母的类变规律提供依据。

Based on the universal phonological rule that sounds of the same kind tend to undergo the same changes,the article summ arizes the regular pattern of the categorical change of “Chanmu” by expounding the change and division of “Chanmu” from the period of middle Chinese to that of modern Chinese.On the basis of the fact of phonological development that sound s nonexistent in old Chinese can hardly establish their status in modern Chinese ,we propose that “Chan” and “Chuan” were under the same category and “Chanm u” was a voiced affricate in middle Chinese,which serves as a basis for the stu dy of the regular pattern of the categorical change of “Chanmu”.
