轴心时代的东西方高等学府——稷下学宫与柏拉图学园之比较

Eastern and Western Institutions of Higher Education of the Axial Age——A Comparative Study of the Ji-xia Academy and Plato's Academy

作为"轴心时代"东西方高等学府的典型代表,稷下学宫与柏拉图学园在教育史上占有重要地位,对后世产生深远影响。文章通过横向比较,对比二者在轴心时代历史横切面下学府背景、性质、功能与特点的异同;通过纵向比较,对比二者对东西方文明渗透性影响方面的异同。进而总结特色,从办学方针与治学方式两层面对中国当代高等学府的发展得出有益启示。

As a typical representatives of Eastern and Western institutions of higher education of the 'Axial Age',Ji-xia Academy with Plato's Academy occupies an important position in the history of education and they both have a profound impact on future generations.In this paper,by the diachronic comparative study,the author compares the differences and similarities of the two institutions of higher education at the Axial Age about their Education background,nature,function and characteristics.By synchronic comparative study,the author compares the two institutions of higher education's influential effects of the differences and similarities between Eastern and Western civilizations.Then the author summarizes the features,and draws inspirations on the development of contemporary institutions of higher education in China from both the guiding principle for running a school and approaches to scholarship.
