Sun Li＇s novels has been winning high praises in the literary circles for their refreshing and native language and characters. From 1930s to 1950s, Sun Li was a unique and outstanding writer. A Note of the Stormy Situation created in the 1950 is a revolutionary historical novel. Though influenced by the then popular narration style, its narration and structure gives us an unorganized, cramped and messy sense. Re-reaxiing this novel helps us understand the writer＇s thoughts and feelings and his creative individuality and also get a window on understanding the relations between literature and history at that time and the tense subtlety between the individuality and the mainstreatm discourse.
