洋务运动期间中国社会对西方近代科技态度的转变

THE CHANGE OF ATTITUDE OF THE CHINESE SOCIETY TOWARDS MODERN WESTERN SCIENCE AND TECH-NOLOGY DURING THE WESTERNIZATION MOVEMENT

本文征引了大量文献资料,对洋务运动时期中国社会对西方近代科学技术的志度变化进行了分析研究,认为对西方近代科枝的肯定态度经历了从军事技术到民用技术,从器物层次到价值观念、制度体制,从封建士大夫、知识分子阶层到广大群众,以及从被动到主动的一个逐渐扩展和深化的过程,并在中国近代科技史上起着承先启后的重要作用。

Quoting a lot of ddcuments and materials, this article analyses and studies the Chinese society's change of attitude towards modern western science and technology during the Wesernization Movement. It deems that the positive attitude tiwards medern western science and technology was a process spreading and deepening gradually from military technology to civil technology, from implements level to sense of value and the system, from feudal officialdom and literati to broad masses of the people, and from being passive to taking the initiative. This attitude played an important role in serving as a link between past and future in the history of modern Chinese science and technology.
