Multidimensional Analysis on the Writing by Non-English Major Postgraduates

摘要 通过对非英语专业研究生的英语写作进行多维度测量与分析,自建研究生英语作文语料库,参照本科生作文语料库(CLEC)和本族语大学生议论文语料库(LOCNESS)等,利用语料库软件AntConc、Range及语篇分析软件Coh-Metrix测量变量研究发现:研究生词汇难度和多样性、语块能力、句法复杂度较本科生有明显提高,作文连贯水平改善不显著。表明研究生英语写作能力发展不够均衡,建构语义联系的能力亟待提高。建议重视语篇知识的导入,加强文化差异意识的培养。 Non-English major postgraduates' English argumentative writings were analyzed by comparing the writings by college students with corpus tools and Coh-Metrix, taking LOCNESS as the reference. The findings are postgraduates have improved significantly in lexical difficulty degrees,lexical chunks and complexity of sentences, but showed negligible improvement in cohesion. It is suggested to improve the awareness of culture differences and text cohesion.
