This paper discusses the triple roles——leader,decision maker and designer——which are successfully played by Prof.A·S·Schmid,IFLA President.in landscape architectural profession domestically and internationally.And some outstanding programs and projects directed and designed by Prof.A·S·Schmid are introduced and analysized in detail.
