摘要 Dear Editor, RUB/Nedd8 (RELATED TO UBIQUITIN/neuronal precur- sor cell-expressed developmentally downregulated 8) is a 76-amino acid protein that modifies other proteins and has homology to UBIQUITIN (UBQ). Like UBQ, RUB modifies pro- teins through an isopeptide linkage between its C-terminal carboxyl group and the e-amino group of a lysine in the accep- tor protein and attachment occurs via an E1-E2-E3 enzymatic cascade.
