动物谚语是日语中重要的语言表达。按照空间层面分,可将其中动物的生活地点分为陆地、天空、海洋。通过对谚语本身及其汉译的考察,不难发现:对于同一意象,日语倾向于以海洋生物为喻体的表达,而汉语则擅以陆地动物为比喻对象。由此可见,孕育于不同社会文化中的语言本身也折射和反映着其社会文化的特点。
