摘要
U-Multirank是由欧盟资助开发的一项新的国际大学排名,主要是针对当前国际大学排名聚焦于研究型大学而无法有效识别高等教育机构多样性的弊端进行设计的。U-Multirank引入了"以用户为主导"的排名新理念,其目标是形成一个由用户驱动的、多维度和多层次的国际大学排名工具。U-Multirank从概念框架的设计、指标的选取到结果的应用等主要环节,都贯彻了这一理念。
U-Multirank, a new global university ranking, was initiated and funded by the European Commission. U-Multirank is designed to counter criticism of the existing international university rankings which have focused on research universities while failing to recognize diversity of higher education institutes. The new concept of ＂user-oriented＂ is thus introduced to U-multirank, aiming at developing a new user-driven, multi- dimensional and multi-level ranking tool. U-Multirank is indeed based on the user＇s needs, which has been reflected in its conceptual framework, selection of indicators and application of the results.
