摘要
有多种原因使艺术是什么难以定论,从艺术模仿论、艺术科学论、艺术"镜子"论、到艺术表现论、艺术再现论,再到艺术理念论、艺术直觉论、"有意味的形式"论、艺术经验论、艺术真理论,乃至艺术意境(境界)论,所有这些界定都有其合理性,也有其局限性。现代主义艺术兴起以后,传统的艺术与非艺术的界限消失了,艺术是什么问题本身受到了质疑并被悬置了起来,艺术品何以是艺术品成为学界讨论的重心。但是,只要自然还环绕着我们,人类还没有强大到足以拒绝自然的馈赠,只要艺术还没有终结,人类还需要用艺术关照自己,调节自己,超越自己,人们对艺术的追问和界定就不会终止,而只要自然还没有完全掀开自己神秘的面纱,只要艺术还没有放弃转换自己的角色,对艺术的理解和定义就不可能是最后的。
There are various opinions about what art is. Some say that art likes a mirror, and others say art is a mean- ingful form, and etc. Such definitions have something reasonable and deficient as well. When modern art rises, there becomes no boundary between traditional art and non - art. Why this or that object could be deemed as an artwork be- comes the significant issue discussed by scholars. Nevertheless, contemplate, accommodate and transcend ourselves through art, only if art still exists, only if there is a need for us to people will forever think over problems of art:
