摘要
光纤承载射频(ROF,Radio over Fiber)技术是一种先进的通信技术,它能有效的将光和微波技术结合在一起,具有大容量、低成本、易安装等优点。在移动通信中,最基本的要求是得到更丰富的传输带宽、无缝的覆盖范围和低功耗的传输效能。如果将ROF技术与现有网络技术融合起来,可以达到共享昂贵器件、集中控制、降低成本、动态分配网络容量的目的,也可以使移动通信的成本更低,集成化更高。主要介绍ROF技术的特点、ROF的关键技术、着重介绍ROF技术在网络融合中的重要应用。
ROF (Radio over the Fiber, the ROF) as an advanced communication technology in combination of optical and microwave communications is of large capacity, low cost, easy installation and other advantages. The basic requirement for mobile communication is to obtain more abundant transmission bandwidth, seamless coverage and large capacity, low power-consumption transmission. The fusion of ROF and the existing network technology could realize the purpose of the common share of expensive devices, centralized control, cost reduction, and dynamic allocation of network capacity, while making the mobile communication lower in cost, higher in integration. This paper mainly focuses on the technical characteristics and critical techniques of ROF, with emphasis on its application in the network fusion.
