好莱坞影片中的华裔女性形象

Chinese Female Images in Hollywood Movies

本文以不同时期好莱坞电影对华裔女性形象的塑造为切入点,以史为线,找出不同时期华裔女性形象的特点及其共性。发现虽然不同时期电影中的华裔女性形象各具特点,但是这些形象往往被贴上"他者"的标签。究其原因,好莱坞的电影制作在"东方主义"影响下来建构华裔女性形象。本文揭示了这一权力关系,提倡全球化背景下东西方文化的平等交流和华裔女性形象的自我建构。

This paper tries to find out the characteristics and the common features of the images of Chinese females in Hollywood movies in different times through exploring the Hollywood movie history. The findings reveal that all these images were labeled as ＂the other＂. The reason for this phenomenon is that such images were constructed under the influence of＂orientalism＂ cast on the Hollywood movie production. The paper mainly analyzes this kind ofpower relationship and aims to promote the equal communication between eastern and western culture under the background of globalization and encourages the self-construction of the Chinese female images.
