镍矿及其安全运输

Nickel ore and its safe transportation

摘要 基于镍矿中含有水分的特性,说明镍矿在运输过程中具有易流态化的特性.通过船舶静力学的计算方法,论述镍矿流态化后产生的自由液面使船舶稳性降为负值的可能性和理论根据.分析认为,镍矿的易流态化特性是造成事故的主要原因,指出控制镍矿中的水分含量是确保镍矿安全运输的必要保证,并提出防止镍矿运输事故的措施. Based on component and property of common nickel ore containing water,this paper analyzes the reason why nickel ore is easy to be liquefied during conveyance,and demonstrates that the ship's stability decreases inevitablely and/or become negative after nickel ore liquefaction.Analysis suggests that nickel ore's liquefaction is the root cause of most nickel ore transportation accidents,and the key point for the nickel ore safe shipment is to keep its moisture content below its transportable moisture limit, additionally some useful measures to prevent nickel ore liquefaction are presented.
