This paper discusses an advanced and mature pyrolytic incineration technology introduced from abroad as well as its design principles and characteristics. Based on the composition and properties of medical waste in China, this paper optimizes the system design, aiming at improving the system efficiency and decreasing the system cost and energy consumption. The main operating parameters and specifications of the system are in compliance with the national standards and regulations required by SEPA. This ap- propriate pyrolytic incineration system is surely providing an attractive alternative for the owners and investors of the medical waste treatment projects.
