周立波创作于20世纪50年代末的《山乡巨变》,是诸多农业合作化题材创作中的一部重要长篇小说。文本以歌颂农业合作化道路而著称,塑造了一大批性格鲜活的农民形象,具有鲜明的时代性、政治倾向性。作者说他想把农业合作化的整个过程编织在书里。但作者的这种主观倾向性与其在作品中实际描写所产生的社会效果之间并不是完全一致的。

Township Changes was created by ZHOU Libo in the late 1950s.It is about the theme of agricultural co-operation and had created a large number of fresh farmers＇ image in the character.So it has the distinctive and political inclination.The author said he wants to weave the whole process of agricultural co-operation in the book.However,it is uncoordinated between the author＇s subjective tendency and its social effects arising in the actual description of the work.
