Taking Xishimen iron ore as sample, the authors interpereted the ground magnetic anomaly by the two - dimensional and three - dimensional, and obtained obviously ore prospecting effect at finding concealed ore and determine the ore spatial location. Especially, the analyzing and comparing of inversion results of the two - dimensional （2D） and three - dimensional （3D） , which is improved the level of interpretation anomaly and provided the valuable experience of detailed interpretation magnetic anomaly for deep ore prospecting in old mining.
