Serial communication is often used in the field of embedded development, but it occupies a lot of hardware resources, resulting in the lower equipment utilization ratio. The serial communications such as Use Physical Serial Port mode, Use Out File mode, as well as the functions and features of the Use Named Pipe mode, are studied based on the Linux VMware virtual machine, and it gives a means of a serial communication environment based on VMware as well as the specific implementation process.
