从形合与意合角度分析林语堂《浮生六记》译本

本文从汉英对比中形合与意合比较研究的角度,分析了林语堂在翻译《浮生六记》时运用的译法及其原因。从英汉语言的句法来看,现代英语属于综合分析语,汉语是典型的分析语;英语重形合而汉语重意合。林语堂在翻译过程中,对原文中的排比、对偶、对照等句式的处理,采取形合法或在汉译英中添加介词,以及使用英语中其他常用的连接手段,做到语言转换的顺利衔接。

This paper analyzed the methods of translation and reasons in Lin Yutang＇s translation of Six Chapters of a Floating Life from the perspective of Hypotaxis and Parataxis. In terms of syntactic, modem English language is a comprehensive analytical language; Chinese is a typical analytical language. English focuses on Hypotaxis while Chinese on Parataxis. In the process of translation, through the analysis of parallelism, antithesis and contrast, Lin took hypotactic methods or added prepositions in C-E translation processing, and used other connective methods of English to achieve smooth convergence of language conversion.
