关联理论视角下的诗歌翻译——以《春望》的翻译为例

Sperber和Wilson提出的关联理论为语用学翻译提供了理论基础,译者进行翻译的时候必须尽量达到语用对等,否则将会发生语用失误。从关联理论的角度,我们可以将翻译看作双重明示推理的交际过程,在这一过程中原文作者、译者和译文读者相互关联。如果三者成功合作,原文和译文之间便可以实现最佳关联。杜甫的诗歌《春望》有好几种英译版本,本文将以其中两个不同版本译文为例进行分析,以证明关联理论亦可应用于中国古代诗歌的翻译。

Sperber and Wilson＇s Relevance Theory （RT） provides theoretical foundation for pragmatic translation. When doing the translation, translator should try to achieve pragmatic equivalence, without which, pragmatic failure will occur. From the perspective of relevance theory, we can regard translation as double ostensive-inferential communication process, in this process, the author, the translator and the reader of the translation are connected. When these three cooperate successfully, the optimal relevance between the original context and the target text can be achieved. There are several English versions of The Panorama in Spring, and this essay analyzes the three versions of it to illustrate that relevance theory is plausible in the translation of Chinese ancient poetry.
