歌曲教学法应用于大学英语课堂——基于语料库的研究

在大学英语教学中,安排歌曲教学环节,可以激发学生学习兴趣,扩大他们的知识视野。此教学方法的研究和实践在低年级教学中比较常见,但是针对成年人学习者,比如大学生,却比较匮乏。本文列举了若干理论依据,并演示了部分实践环节,证明此方法在大学英语教学中是可行并实用的。本文是基于语料库的方法对歌词作分析,使老师对歌词有更专业的语言认知,引导学生在语言和文化层面上更好地欣赏和学习。同时,语料库软件所得出的数据客观而科学,可以理性对比中英语言和文化。本文是教学法的一种探索。在语言数据的分析上,兼顾定性和定量分析。

This paper recommends songs-teaching in college English. This teaching method is common for young learners like children, but is rare for adult learners. To prove its feasibility and practicability, this paper enumerates many theories, merits and special advantages especially applied in college English class. As teachers play a leading role to get students engaged, they need to know well the songs especially in linguistic or stylistic level. For this purpose Ⅰ demonstrated a corpusbased study by using WordSmith 5.0 to analyze the features of the corpus composed of 30 pieces of lyrics in English and Chinese collected by the author. This study is based on quantitative statistics together with qualitative analysis.
