思想政治教育的本质在于思想掌握群众

Grasping the People with Ideas as the Essence of the Ideological and Political Education

认识和把握思想政治教育的本质是做好思想政治教育的前提。思想政治教育的本质是思想掌握群众,因为思想掌握群众反映了思想政治教育的本质内涵,体现了思想政治教育的根本属性,凸显了思想政治教育同其他社会实践活动的本质区别。无论哪一个阶级的思想政治教育,都是运用一定阶级的思想来教育、影响、掌握和引导群众的活动。思想掌握群众,既是运用一定阶级的思想掌握本阶级群众的活动,也是运用一定阶级的思想影响和掌握其他阶级群众的活动,而中共的思想政治教育是先进思想掌握群众的活动。思想掌握群众集中而充分地体现了思想政治教育的本质特征。

Successful ideological and political education presupposes the recognition of the essence of such education, namely, the acceptance of ideas by the people, which tells the fundamental property of this education and highlights its distinction from other types of social practices. The ideological and political education of any class inevitably applies the ideas of that class to educate, influence, control, and guide people’s activities, which concerns people both within and beyond of that class. The ideological and political education of the Chinese Communist Party is the practice of influencing people with advanced ideas, which fully reflects the nature and essence of ideological and political education.
