Objective To provide monitoring measures for the quality control of surgical pathology based on the analysis of its quality definition and yardstick. Methods An analysis about quality control of surgical pathology was carried on the five categories of monitors in the quality assurance and improvement plans and structural component of a quality surgical pathology laboratory. Results Quality assurance and improvement works best when it is woven into the systems of surgical pathology with well informed, well trained, and knowledgeable staff. Conclusion Key subject to maintaining a harmonious hospital is endeavoring toenhance the quality assurance and improvement of surgical pathology.
