This paper describes the definition of the risks of medical devices and preventive maintenance （PM） ; introduces the treatment theory of hemodialysis machine and the hemodialysis machine＇s importance in the treatment. The importance of preventive maintenance on medical equipment is also stated. In addition, risk analysis and assessment, planning and impact assessment of preventive maintenance of hemodialysis machine, are introduced.
