摘要
为了让学位论文这种重要的文献研究成果得以更好的保存和传播,英国对电子版学位论文的收藏和服务做了大量的研究和实践,最终建设了一个存储、检索和方便研究者使用的国家电子学位论文的基础平台ETHOS,它的参与方式、文献保存方式和服务方式对我国正在建设的全国学位论文数据库有着积极的借鉴意义。
In order to promote the conservation and communication of the research results of the UK theses, electronic full text thesis deposit and service were researched and practiced a lot in UK. At last, ETHOS （Electronic Theses Online System） was launched, which aggregated deposit, search and full text service in one platform. Its participation, deposit format and full text service method are good experiences for our undertaking of Dissertation Database.
