在美国禅宗的本土化过程中,"心理学化"是一种非常重要的现象。近三十年来,随着正念禅修技术在心理治疗领域中的广泛应用,各种正念疗法被不断地开发出来,其确然的积极疗效引发了临床心理学家与实验心理学家的关注,出现了大量关于正念禅修的心理机制及脑生理机制的实证探索。尽管这些研究成绩斐然,但都未曾触及正念禅修的本质,对此,尚需进一步的深化研究。

Psychologization is a very important Zen＇s localization event in America. Nearly 30 years, along with the extensive use of mindfulness meditation in the psychotherapy fields, various kinds of mindfulness psycholotherapies are constantly developed, and its positive curative effects attract the attention of the clinical psychologists and the experimental psychologists. Soon after- wards, a large of primary investigations about mental and brain mechanism of mindfulness meditation are produced. Although the achievement is brilliant, further researches of mindfulness meditation must be done since its essence has not been brought to light.
