ZHAO Yi-guang is one of the scholars of Ming Dynasty to pay attention to the dialect research. On the basis of his dialect research collection, this paper tries to analyze the concrete content of his research, and summarizes the features of his research. It is held that Zhao＇s dialect research sprang from the academic awareness under the background of that time, and the quoting of dialect is with methodological significance. His dialect research is important reference for the study of dialect of late Ming Dynasty, hence its contemporary value.
