商洛市公示语英译现状与策略研究——以商州区为例

On Current Situation and Strategies of C-E Translation of Public Signs in Shangluo City——With Shangzhou District as an Example

随着商洛市政治、经济、旅游、文化、对外开放等事业的快速发展,商洛市公示语汉英翻译很有必要。然而,商洛市公示语存在英文翻译缺失,英文拼写错误现象普遍,机械死译、乱译,英文翻译不符合表达习惯或国际惯例等问题。商洛市公示语英译可采用借译、仿译、创译等策略,以提高其公示语英文质量、提升城市形象。

With the fast development of politics, economy, tourism, culture and City, the C-E translation of public signs in Shangluo is very necessary. However, lying in the translation, such as the absence of English opening-up of Shangluo there are many problems translation, common spelling mistakes, meaningless word-to-word translation, and nonstandard translation. In order to improve the quality of English version of public signs in Shangluo and keep good city image, the strategies of ＂borrowing translation＂, ＂imitating translation＂ and ＂creating translation＂ can be used.
