释“徛死”

On Jisi (徛死)

《景德传灯录》卷八《浮杯和尚》出现了两例"徛死",但对"徛死"的解释目前却难以令人满意。我们考察文献的用例之后发现:一、"徛死"的"徛"就是"站立"义,"徛死"还有"猗死"、"伎死"和"跂死"等不同写法;二、"徛死"是一种带有嘲弄、蔑视感情色彩的说法,有"呆板、愚笨"的意思。

There are two examples of ＂ Jisi（徛死）＂ in Fubei Monk（Jingde Chuandenglu,Issue No.8）,but the explanation of ＂ Jisi（徛死）＂ is unsatisfactory at present.By examining literature,we find that ＂ Ji（徛）＂ of ＂ Jisi（徛死）＂ should be understood as the meaning of ＂ to stand ＂ and ＂ Jisi（徛死）＂ also has some other forms such as ＂ Yisi（猗死）＂,＂ Jisi（伎死）＂ and ＂ Qisi（跂死）＂,etc.＂ Jisi（徛死）＂ has the meaning ＂ stiff ＂ or ＂ stupid ＂ which was compounded of sardonic and scornful emotion.
