The reason and harm of slurry coming into the inner of head cover were discussed. The reason of wearing of head cover was analyzed. The key points to solve the head cover wearing were to ensure the seal between the head cover and in-out slurry liner and avoid the slurry in the mill coming into the cavity in head cover. The improvement measure was put forward, which can guarantee the mill operation, prolong the service life of head cover and obtain good economic benefit. These measures can be used in similar situations.
