James Robert Brown is a famous philosopher of science in America, a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, and now he is a famous Professor of philosophy at the University of Toronto. Brown is largely known for his pioneering studying on thought experiments. He is the representative of platonic rationalism in the current field of thought experiments studying, he insists on a Platonic thought experiment account, and he claims that there are some priori knowledge about the nature. Thought experiments are the origin of the priori knowledge. Although there are some problems in the view of Brown＇s on thought experiments, his achievements on thought experiments are the most complete cur- rently and impact broadly.
