新中式建筑在整体风格上充分保留了中式建筑的神韵与精髓,广泛的融合了现代科技及多元文化的精华,成为传统建筑现代化的一种积极尝试。从传统的空间意识、空间审美等方面考量,认为新中式建筑具有以下特点:新中式建筑特别强调人与自然的和谐相处,以"天人合一"作为其思想根源;与传统的造园和建筑实践相一致,新中式建筑把对意境的创造作为其设计的核心,传统的虚实表现手法的运用,使新中式建筑具备了独特的韵味之美。此外,在传统的"时空和体"思想的影响下,新中式建筑还要考虑到现代空间功能的时间不确定性和未知性,创造和实现弹性空间与空间的模糊性。

From the traditional sense of space, spatial aspects of aesthetic consideration, this essay points out the characteristics of new Chinese building： special emphasis on the harmony of man and nature, to ＂harmony＂ as its ideological roots; and the traditional landscape gardening and architecture practice consist- ent, new Chinese building to the creation of artistic conception as its creation： the soul of traditional application and technique of expression, so that the new Chinese style building with a u- nique charm beauty; in the tradition of the ＂time and space＂ ideology under the influence of new Chinese building, taking in- to account modern space function of temporal uncertainty and un- known, the creation and realization of flexible space and space ambiguity.
