This paper discusses the relationship of great development and problems of ecology and environment in the northwest China and quantitatively analyses ecological-environmental quality and present pressure in the northwest China. The auther also discusses protection and construction of ecology and environment and stresses on the significance,development and utilization of water resoures in the ecological-environmental constuction.
