In this paper, an investigation into the cognitive attitude to genetically modified foods is carried out on the basis of928 science and engineering graduate students. The results show that the graduate students have a relative degree of cognition of bothgenetically modified organisms and genetically modified foods, and the attitude toward GM foods exhibits some degree of difference.Specifically, the ratio of students who support and cautiously support the GM foods reaches 75.2 %, while the ratio of students whooppose and cautiously oppose them is 20.6%.About 99.3% students prefer to choose traditional foods under the premise of the sameprice, and 12.1% students express that they will never buy GM foods at any price. The ratios show significant differences from theinvestigation data of European Union, America and the general public in Beijing.
