Breeding and Application of PTGMS Line Hong 176S in Rice

红176S是以安农S-1/培C311 F7为母本,028S为父本杂交,经多年系谱选择育成的水稻光温敏核不育系。红176S穗大粒多,开花习性好,异交结实率高,配合力高,2012年3月通过江西省农作物品种审定委员会组织的鉴定,所配组合红两优333(红176S/GR333)于2012年3月通过江西省品种审定。

Derived from the cross of （Annong S-1 /Pei C311 ） F7 （as the female） and 028S （as the male）, Hong 176S is a new photoperiod- and thermo-sensitive genie male sterile （PTGMS） line in rice, developed through years of pedigree selection. It is characterized with big panicles with many spikelets, good flowering habit, high outcross- ing rate and high combining ability. Hong 176S was technically identified and its hybrid combination, Hongliangy- ou 333 （ Hong 176S/GR333 ）, was registered and released to commercial production by Jiangxi Provincial Crop Variety Appraisal Committee in March 2012.
