This paper presents a detailed description of the characteristics of SHELL and Texaco gasifiers as the representatives of two kinds of entrained bed gasifiers and their structural features and the effects of these characteristics and features on the power supply efficiency and operational safety and system design of IGCC power plant.Among the two kinds of gasifiers the former one is the representative of dry coal fed entrained bed gasifier,and the latter one,however,is the representative of coal slurry fed entrained bed gasifier.From this the characteristic comparison between PRENFLO gasifier and Destec gasifier is derived.
