The paper expounds the application requirement change and selection principle for elevator wire rope. Aiming at the relevant common problems in elevator companies, elevator and wire rope industries should rationally consider, study and analyze the causes and find the variation law so as to obtain wire rope with optimized configuration and effectively improve the running quality and expected life of the elevator and the customer's satisfaction.
