文化的迁移——从译介学角度看《活着》英译本中文化意象的传递

Foreignizing Tendency of Culture——Transfer of the Cultural Images in the English Version of To Live from Media-Translatology

文化意象的传递是不同民族文化在翻译中碰撞、交流、接受的过程。在传递过程中很多文化意象会发生淡化、扭曲、变形。从译介学角度出发分析《活着》英译本,可以窥斑见豹,了解中国思维习惯、历史习俗、宗教文化在翻译传递过程中的变化情况,以及译介过程中文化的迁移及译者所承担的责任。

The transfer of cultural images is the process of cultural clash and communication in different nations. During the process of it, a large number of cultural images are broken and even distorted. From the perspective of media - translatology, this essay, taking the example of the English version of YU Hua＇ s novel To Live, is to analyze the changed dements in Chinese thinking habit, historical conventions as well as the religious culture. And it aims at arguing the cultural foreignizing tendency and the major responsibility of translators.
