党城村是闽北古村落的一个缩影,凝聚着闽北地区古建筑的传统文化精华。党城先民们将独特的思维观念和丰富多彩的造物思想渗透到村落选址布局、建筑形制与装饰文化上,具有鲜明的文化特征和珍贵的历史价值。同时也体现了党城古村落崇尚自然生态、注重宗族意识的理念,蕴育着有机性、整体性和内聚性相融相合、天人合一的村落建构内涵。

Dangcheng village, a miniature of ancient villages in the north of Fujian Province, displays fine tradi- tional culture of ancient buildings in the North of Fujian Province. Ancestors of Dangeheng village applied distinc- tive concepts and a multitude of ideas of creation to the selection of site and layout for the village, architectural styles and decoration culture with clear cultural traits and rare historical value. In the meantime, the ancient village demonstrates the worship of nature and ecology, highlights religious beliefs, and implies the connection between u- nity, wholeness and cohesion, stressing that man is an integral part of nature.
