Standard Use of“Experiment(实验)”and“Trial(试验)”in Editorial Work

从"实"与"试"字义的演变、"实验"与"试验"词义的演变及"实验"与"试验"的区别3个方面入手,查阅相关资料,对"实验"与"试验"二词进行辨析,发现"实验"具有检验、复核的含义,而"试验"具有创新、探索和尝试的意义,故在编辑加工过程中应规范使用,从而使文字使用更贴近实际工作的意义。

Experiment（实验） and trial（试验） were differentiated from the aspects： the sense development of ＂Shi（实）＂and ＂Shi（试）＂,thesensedevelopment of ＂experiment（实验）＂and ＂trial（试验）＂,thedifferencesof ＂experiment（实验）＂and＂trial（试验）＂by consulting associated literature.We found that experiment（实验） had the meaning of test and check;trial（试验） meant innovation,exploration and try,so we should use both regularly in editorial work to improve the accuracy of expression.
