Rooted in the profound local culture, this paper sets out to present the opinions that the folk ballads in the Yue region are of a brilliant continu- ation of Yuege （a ballad form popular in the Yue region）, that the folk ballads are full of the beauties of nature, lyric, rationale, and humor, and that the linguistic style functions as the soul of the folk ballads and guarantees its vitality and special enchantment.
