Discussion on the familial culture of Clan Chen in Yingchuang prefecture in the late Eastern Han and Wei-Jin Dynasties

颍川陈氏是汉末魏晋时期重要的文化士族,其家族文化渊深厚重,主要体现在以下三方面:一、孝友持家,德化一方;二、慎密为政,应时权变;三、以儒为宗,由文渐武。

Clan Chen in Yingchang prefecture was an important family of scholar-officials in the late Donghan and Wei-Jin Dynasties,the familial culture of Clan Chen is broad and profound.This paper attempts to analyse it and concludes that： first,Clan Chen took filial piety and friendship as its base in the culture of their family management,besides,governing a place by a method of moral education;second,Clan Chen dealing with administrative affairs was cautious and comprehensive,and kept pace with Times;third,Confucianism doctrine was in a dominant position,then dominant ideology gradually shifted from culture to military.
