Objective Observe the counteractive effect of neostigmine against poisoning of animals caused by magnesium ion.Method Through animal experiments, observe the effects of neostigmine and calcium ion on the contractive force of cardiac muscles of frog heart seperated from the moin body and the blood pressure and respiration of domestic rubbits after the frog heart and domestic rabbits are poisoned by magnesium ion.The compare the results.Result Neostigmine can counteract the decrease in contractive force of the frog heart caused by poisoning of magnesium ion, while calcium ion can't.Nestigmine can counteract not only the rabbits' decrease of blood pressure but also their estraint of respiration caused by poisoning of magnesium ion.At 15,40 and 180 seconds after neostigmine is given, the blood pressure rises 6.67±0.67,4.40±0.40,7.33±0.67kPa respectively;while after calcium ion is given, the blood pessure rises as follows: 3.00±0.67,2.33±0.69,2.60±0.38kPa.Through statistical calculation, the average value of P is less than 0.01,which indicates obvious difference. In the improvement of respiration, except at 15 seconds the effect of calcium ion is more obvious than that of neostigmine, the other results have no statistical difference. Conclusion Neostigmine can effectively counteract poisoning caused bymagnesium ion,the counteractive effect is better more obvious than that of calcium ion.Through the experiment,a new effective method elieving poisoning caused by magnesium ion is provided.
